Tesla Cars History

There're 4 TESLA car owner's manuals PDF.

Tesla was founded in 2003 to start the process of reformatting the automotive market away from gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines in favor of electric motors.

It got its name in honor of the Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla.

Tesla models use an AC motor developed from Tesla's 1882 drawings.

The company's first project was the two-seater Tesla Roadster sports car (2007-2012), which served as a "catalyst" for the subsequent launch of mass-produced electric vehicles: the Model S luxury sedan (2012), the Model X full-size crossover (2015) and the Model 3 compact sedan (2017).

These machines have already proved their superiority over petrol competitors in terms of reliability, safety and spaciousness, as well as dynamics and range, which ranges from 350 to 550 km, depending on the capacity of the batteries.

Tesla has challenged all modern automakers with the goal of equalizing the cost of electric and gasoline cars and thereby making the production of the latter unprofitable.

The company follows its own business strategy: it almost does not depend on external suppliers of spare parts (the degree of vertical integration is 80%), does not sell its models through dealers and allows the free use of its technology patents.

Today, Tesla is the second largest manufacturer of electric cars.

More than 250, 000 machines have already been manufactured at its factories in Fremont (California), Reno (Nevada) and Tilburg (Netherlands).

In 2017, Tesla surpassed Ford and General Motors in terms of market capitalization for several months, but at the same time, its losses for the year amounted to $1. 4 billion.
