Volkswagen Passenger Cars is an automaker that is part of the German automotive concern Volkswagen Group, also known as Volkswagen AG.

It is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world today.

The headquarters of Volkswagen is historically located in the city of Wolfsburg, this is the federal state of Lower Saxony, which is part of Germany.

The head assembly plant, one of the largest car assembly plants in the world, is also located there.

Suffice it to say that the area of this enterprise exceeds the area of such a state as Gibraltar, and the area of workshops is larger than the area of the entire Principality of Monaco combined.

- Audi AG, a German automaker, entered the structure of the concern after acquiring such companies as Auto Union on 12/30/1964 from Daimler-Benz and NSU Motorenwerke on 03/09/1969 (moreover, only Audi remained from the active brands of these companies, such legends as Auto Union and NSU is history) ;

- Automobili Lamborghini S. p. A., Italian premium sports car manufacturer since September 1998;

- Bentley Motors Ltd, legendary British luxury car manufacturer from 28. 07. 1998;

- Bugatti Automobiles S. A. S., French luxury car manufacturer since July 1998;

- Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG, German premium car manufacturer (Volkswagen has been paired throughout history) since December 2009, fully from 1. 08. 2012;

- Jetta, this is a joint venture with the Chinese automaker FAW Group (a new brand, appeared in 2019, in general, the Chinese market is a priority for the German concern, the lion's share of sales is there, therefore, with the FAW Group, a subsidiary of FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co Ltd since 1991 many unique models are produced) ;

- SEAT, S. A., a Spanish automaker, through AUDI AG, the company was completely taken over by the Volkswagen Group in 1990, the sports division is called CUPRA;

- Skoda Auto a. s., a Czech automaker, came under the control of a German company by 2000.
